We recently had a chance to briefly interview Multi-Talented Rap Star "Yukmouth". You should all know him from his group "The Luniz" when they dropped the Number One Hit "I Got 5 On It". These days he's still busy dropping hot Albums and Mixtapes with his group "The Regime". In this Interview we discuss some of the current and up-coming projects Yuk is currently working on, from his new Mixtape to his up-coming Porno film being Released on DVD. We also asked him about his current beef with G-Unit and what he thought about the recent Westcoast Peace Conference. This a Interview you dont want to miss!


Jeremy: First, thank you for taking time out of your schedule to do this interview. It' much Appreciated.

Jeremy: You seem to be mainstream and known to a large number of people in the hip-hop community, but yet not real commercial. Is that suitable for you or do you plan to branch out and get more spotlight?

Yukmouth: yeah...I started off commercial with 5 on it,then I went solo & started aimin @ the underground street sence I'm from the streets...I did it 4 the longest 2 seperate me from the luniz commercial image....this new album (million dollar mouthpiece)will be a combinational between commercial & street hip hop...so I'm back..

Jeremy: Where did the name for your clique 'The Regime' come from?

Yukmouth: I came up with the name regime lookin @ old hitler movies....they would call his army the (regime)!!I thought the name fitted my click perfect!!so we started callin ourselfs that ever since 1997...

Jeremy: There is word that you have some beef with 50 cent and take part in a diss track. Is that true?

Yukmouth: yeah...I'm beefin with 50 & the whole gay-unit!!!I got diss tracks on the godzilla album,thuglordz album & the regime mixtapes...so go coup & see what I'm talkin bout!

Jeremy: Do you feel this beef will continue to grow or do you see it coming to an end soon?

Yukmouth: I see it growing cuzz 50 likes it!!that's how he sells records, beefin with everybody! So I don't think it will ever stop until he falls off!

Jeremy: With there being so much tension in the rap game, do you feel well protected?

Yukmouth: Yeah I feel protected cuz I protect myself!! I'm not payin no big buff ass bodyguard that's going 2 run when niggaz pull out gunz!! I keep a hundred gunz with me 2 tear shit up when its beef!!

Jeremy: What is your feelings on the west coast peace conference? Do you think events like these will really work?

Yukmouth: I like how the peace conferance brought the west coast 2gether, but there is still no peace & no unity... so I think it was useless!

Jeremy: Has Tupac influenced your life and music?

Yukmouth: Yeah...2pac influenced alot in my rap life.. He tought me how 2 stand up 4 what I believe in & ride or die 4 it!!! He made it cool 2 be a thug when everybody else was gangstas...

Jeremy: What's your favorite Tupac track and why?

Yukmouth: my favorite pac track iS "ambitionz of a ridah" cuz it was a hungry pac, fresh outta jail killin the mic again..

Jeremy: How large of an affect do you think Tupac's death had on the west coast rap scene?

Yukmouth: When 2pac died, the westcoast died... We just now recovering from that blow...

Jeremy: What do you feel is the most important message missing in hip-hop today?

Yukmouth: Positivity..

Jeremy: Your new album United Ghettos of America vol. 2 is said to be a whole lot better than the first. What pushed this album to be that much better?

Yukmouth: UGA-2 have more big name artist & better producers. That's why it better.. UGA-1 was a steppin stone...

Jeremy: What is your favorite track off the new album and why?

Yukmouth: My favorite track is called "head busta"...the beat & lyrics about the grind & hustle is hot!

Jeremy: Is there going to be any videos shot for the album. If so, for which singles?

Yukmouth: Yeah..We doin a couple vids 4 this album..Haven't decided on the singles yet,so still waiting..

Jeremy: This album comes with a dvd and the soundtrack too, right? What's on the DVD?

Yukmouth: Probably do a dvd with it, still not sure..

Jeremy: When can we expect the release of your latest album, Million Dollar Mouth Piece?

Yukmouth: The next album will be a double album with features from Lil Flip,Bun-b,Utp,Suga free,Scarface,Young Jeezy,The Regime,C-Bo,Dru Down & many more..

Jeremy: There has been word you got a Porno entitled “Yukmouth’s Big Booty Stallions,” scheduled to be hitting dvd soon. Tell us a little about that and will it be available both online and in stores?

Yukmouth: Yeah..its a porno I'm hosting called "yukmouth's big booty" stallion".. It was shot & directed by Ron Hightower & is commin out on Heatwave Ent.
